A Tartan pattern on a flowered kelim. I like wild combinations, but our livingroom is starting to look like Austin Powers’ Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club. (Not that we’re swingers or something, no carkey exchanging parties for us, thank you very much, hahaha.) I bought the stool at Hema, who recently presented their beautiful new home collection for just € 16,00. The book was a present of my dear friend Philomeen, for the launch of Oh Marie!

And just for the record: the Etsy shop is open again and I’m putting the Trophy Head Craft Kits up for sale as we speak!

Ruitstof op een wild gebloemde Kelim. Ik hou van wilde combinaties, ook al begint onze huiskamer eruit te zien als Austin Powers’ Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swingers Club. (Niet dat wij swingers zijn, geen autosleutel-uitwisselfeestjes voor ons dankuwel, hahaha.) Ik kocht de poef (voor 16 euro) bij Hema, die recent haar nieuwe huiscollectie presenteerde. Het boek kreeg ik voor de launch van Oh Marie! van lieve Philomeen.

En meer fijn nieuws: de winkel is open én gevuld. De zelfmaakpakketjes komen er ook in: vandaag, om precies te zijn!

We bought this cute guy at the Tweelink stand at the Woonbeurs last week.
We called him Roy.
I’m recovering from the busiest workweeks since I started my business in January this year.
This week everything goes back to normal, which is nice, to be honest.
Back next Tuesday, have a great Sunday dears!

We kochten deze lieverd bij de Tweelink stand op de Woonbeurs afgelopen week.

We noemen hem Roy.
Ik ben aan het bijkomen van de drukste weken sinds het begin van mijn onderneming.
Komende week fijn aan de slag met nummer 1 van Oh Marie! Terug naar normaal, wat fijn.
Ben dinsdag weer terug, fijne zondag gewenst lieve allemaal!

This übercute little factory is designed by the great people of Kek Amsterdam. It’s called ‘Kattenpandje’ (‘Little Cat Building’) and our little Snorkmaiden a.k.a. Molly immediately moved into it. It gives her shelter but also gives her the opportunity to keep an eye on everything that happens around her through the little windows on the sides. I love the design (we already call Molly our little factory worker) and I love that someone took the effort to design something so cool ánd beautiful for our (spoiled rotten) cats. Take a peek at Kek Amsterdam’s site for all the other fabulous Kattenpandjes ánd to see the beautiful pictures Danique shot of her cat Sonic, the beautiful hairball who modelled with the entire Kattenpandjes collection!

Dit super schattige fabriekje is ontworpen door de sympathieke mensen van Kek Amsterdam. Het heet ‘Kattenpandje’ en onze kleine Snorkmaiden (of Molly :-)) trok er bijna meteen in. Het huisje geeft haar beschutting, maar ook de mogelijkheid om alles in de gaten te blijven houden via de raampjes aan de zijkanten. Ik vind het ontwerp geweldig (we noemen Molly al onze kleine fabrieksarbeider) en ik vind het zo leuk dat er mensen op het idee zijn gekomen om zoiets leuks voor onze (tot op het bot verwende) katten te ontwerpen. Kijk hier op de website van Kek Amsterdam voor alle kattenpandjes en bewonder daar meteen de prachtige foto’s die Danique maakte van haar kat Sonic voor de officiële productfoto’s! (Kek Amsterdam staat overigens met een stand op de Woonbeurs, vlakbij het 101 Woonideeënhuis!)

 Beautiful flowers from the launch. My new Donna Wilson vase and a Shaun the Sheep wind-up toy that makes me smile (Molly is terrified of it, so we stopped winding it (and her) up :-D

Crocheted bunting made by Petra as a present for the launch. The house on the picture was the home of my grandparents. Since I dedicated Oh Marie! to them, there’s a little party going on there too. My mother knitted the Donna Wilson Robin (thanks mum!) for the launch. Chair and Chinese shoes were thrifted.
Next Friday you can meet me, Anki, Yvonne, Iris and Philomeen at the Woonbeurs. Hope to see you there!

Mooie bloemen die ik bij de launch kreeg. Mijn nieuwe Donna Wilson vaasje en een Shaun het Schaap opwindspeeltje, waar Molly zó bang voor is dat we gestopt zijn hem (en haar) op te winden :-D

Ik kreeg van lieve Petra gehaakte vlaggetjes om me te feliciteren met Oh Marie! Het huis op de foto was het huis van mijn opa en oma. Zoals je kan zien is daar ook een klein feestje aan de gang (ik vier immers hun levens met Oh Marie!). Mijn moeder breidde de Donna Wilson roodborst (bedankt mamma!) voor de launch, het stoeltje en de Chinese slofjes zijn tweedehands.

Vrijdag sta ik op de Woonbeurs samen met Anki, Yvonne, Iris en Philomeen. Als je alles wil zien en weten van Planet Fur en Oh Marie! kom dan gezellig langs!

In this beautiful place in Utrecht I launched Oh Marie! yesterday. There wasn’t a better place to hold this party, with it’s spectacular murals, cosy lounge-corners, birds (!) wallpaper and whimsical decorations. The Oh Marie! party took place in a beautiful seperate corner of the restaurant where we enjoyed the great atmosphere and delicious food. It was a perfect day and I’ve been spoiled rotten by all the ladies who took the effort to travel all the way to Utrecht to party with me. Op deze prachtige plek in Utrecht lanceerde ik gisteren het eerste nummer van Oh Marie! De spectaculaire muurschilderingen, de lounge-hoeken, het vogelbehang in ‘ons’ hoekje en de grappige details in de inrichting maakten deze plek perfect voor een feestje als dit. Het Oh Marie! gezelschap zat in een heerlijke, praktisch ‘eigen’ ruimte, waar we van de atmosfeer en het heerlijke eten genietten. Ik ben vreselijk verwend met mooie cadeaus en lieve woorden en complimenten en hoe super is het dat al die mensen de moeite namen om naar Utrecht af te reizen om dit feestje met mij te vieren.
