A kup of loveliness

Since I discovered Beautiful Picture Heaven called Flickr, I keep digging, clicking and finding new treasures. I know a lot of people are already familiair with the incredible talented lady behind KupKupLand, but since this is my blog and since I’m over the moon with the discovery of her gorgeous pictures, I would like to make my own humble contribution to spreading the KupKup-loveliness all over the world. Just look at these beauties! What’s your latest favorite find on Flickr?

Sinds ik Mooie Foto’s Hemel Flickr ontdekt heb, blijf ik nieuwe fotobronnen aanboren. Inmiddels zijn er al veel mensen bekend met de bijzonder getalenteerde geestelijk moeder van KupKupLand, maar dit is nu eenmaal mijn blog en ik ben zo blij met de ontdekking van haar Flickr-schatten, dat ik hiermee een kleine bijdrage wil leveren aan het verspreiden van de KupKup-schoonheid over de wereld. Kijk toch eens hoe mooi! Wat is jouw nieuwste favoriete Flickr-vondst?

Where’s the mole?

Even in a house with one floor she can vanish. This time I found her underneath the beautiful flowers on our kitchen table.
They blend very well ;-)

Zelfs in een huis met één verdieping kan ik haar kwijt zijn. Dit keer vond ik haar terug onder de prachtige bos bloemen op de keukentafel.

Ze mixt er mooi mee ;-)

Apartment therapy

I’ve had a good dose of apartment therapy the last couple of days. These are the first impressions of the results of our efforts. At the left the view from our livingroom into the hallway, study and bedroom. At the right our kitchen. A previous owner painted the kitchen pale green, which was a brilliant idea in my opinion (that might have something to do with green being my favorite color). We are feeling quite at home already, although it was very strange to hand over the keys of our beloved former home to it’s new owners. I hope they’ll experience as much happy moments as we did all the years we called it our home…

Ik heb een behoorlijke dosis apartementstherapie gehad de laatste dagen. En dan nu de eerste impressies van al onze inspanningen! Links een doorkijkje vanaf de woonkamer op de hal, studeerkamer en slaapkamer. Rechts de keuken. Een vorige eigenaar heeft het keukenblok lichtgroen geverfd, wat ik een briljant idee vind…maar dat heeft vast iets te maken met het het feit dat groen mijn lievelingskleur is. We voelen ons al behoorlijk thuis hier, al was het erg vreemd om de sleutels van ons verkochte huis te overhandigen aan haar nieuwe eigenaren. Ik hoop dat zij er net zoveel gelukkige jaren mogen doorbrengen als wij er hebben gehad…

Wherever I lay my kokeshi, that’s my home

I’m counting off the hours ’till the happy moment that I can return to my shop, photography and to regular blogging. We’ve been scrubbing off dirt, painting walls, packing boxes for ages now and I want to return to a normal life so badly it hurts. I hope to shoot some photos of our new home soon, it’s getting better by the day. See you soon!

Ik ben zwaar aan het aftellen tot het gelukkige moment dat ik terug kan keren naar mijn winkel, fotograferen en regulier bloggen. We hebben stof afgenomen, muren geverfd en dozen ingepakt tot we een ons wogen en ik wil nu Bijzonder Graag terug naar een normaal ritme, waar alles op zijn plek staat. Ik hoop snel foto’s te kunnen maken van ons nieuwe huis, het wordt met de dag mooier. Tot snel!

“Hey…this looks like a real nice spot to sleep…and it smells so nice…like freshly washed laundry. And wow, that’s nice..my dear female housemate is near too! (Don’t exactly understand what she is doing with that pile of fabric thingies there, but should I care?) How come I never discovered this cool sleepingspot earlier?”
