…or “that shade is way too small for that lampbase!”.

I finished the big lampproject a while ago and finally found the perfect lampshade for it. At least…I think it’s the perfect lampshade. Most people who walk into the room look at the thing and cry “that shade is WAY too small for that lampbase!”. But who desides what size is perfect? Although I’m a perfectionist, I hate perfect. I love things with flaws, interiors where wild patterns are combined with even more wild patterns. We call it eclectic, another person thinks it challenges all rules of aesthetic. But that’s in my opinion the part where design gets interesting.

So, every night when I go to sleep I look at my non-perfect perfect lamp and feel very happy with it. I think it will move along with us for a long, long time.

PS: Found an even better purpose for the previous shade!

Today was my first real Planet Fur day since ages. I took pictures, made a lovely new addition to the Planet Fur family (will write about her soon, but she’s a bit shy), and felt really happy to be back in Planet Fur business again. A couple of days ago I visited Utrecht with a dear friend and found this funny t-shirt of one of my favorite brands called Nümph. It’s color reminded me of my blue Maria statue. And look…they match!

Vandaag was mijn eerste Planet Fur dag sinds tijden: fotograferen, een nieuw ontwerpje voor de Planet Fur familie maken (binnenkort meer over haar, maar ze is nogal verlegen) en gewoon blij zijn om weer “terug” te zijn. Een paar dagen geleden bezocht ik Utrecht met een goede vriendin, waar ik dit grappige t-shirtje van Nümph vond. Haar kleur deed me denken aan mijn blauwe Mariabeeldje…en zie…ze matchen!
