Kindness

Phew…a lot of things to write about today, but let me start by writing a big THANK YOU for dear Kristina of Inaluxe and Ingrid for giving this blog the Versatile Blogger Award and the Lovely Blog award.

There are a lot of rules bound to these awards, but since the blogs I read are already mentioned by other people who received these awards, I’ll stick to the fun ‘writing 7 things-you-did-not-know about-me’ part!

Here we go!

1. I’m always late (even if I try really REALLY hard, I’m still late. Before I met my love, I was always on time!)

2. I talk to my pets with a very silly loud squeeky voice, even when there are vetinaries or strangers around. It’s embarrassing.)

3. I have about 30 nicknames for Molly…and counting.

4. I write down funny quotes of friends and family. (You should do it too..it’s hilarious!)

5. I love to watch Magnum P.I. in the middle of the day.

6. I’m infamous for my loud voice (and laughter).

7. I kinda hate it when every sentence I write begins with “I” :-)

Instead of naming a couple of other blogs, I would like to give you a sneak peek of the brand new 1st edition of the Flow Agenda that will be featured in September this year. Available only in The Netherlands alas, but if someone really really wants it, I might want to get you a copy and sent it to you out there!

It even reached Ikea!

Okay, I might be the only one who didn’t recognize the origami hype, but now it has reached Ikea…it finally reached me. Even these two didn’t ring a bell when they flew into our home.

So..an origami hype it is and I almost got hysterical when I discovered this super cool fabric called Charlotta Teckning at the Ikea fabric department.

Only thing I’m left to do now is buy a humongous couch on which I can put all those cushioncovers I’m still intending to make…once I made peace with my mum’s sewingmachine…and when time is finally back on my side ;-)

For everything there is a season…

…but sleeping is for every season. In the sun. On the windowsill. The hotter the better. Especially during these hot days I’m a bit jealous at her long nappings in the garden…little Mole sleeps the Summer away.

A lovely afternoon in a beautiful studio

What’s better than meeting up with wonderful creative people? Meeting up in a super-lovely, bright yellow painted, wonderfully decorated studio! This weekend Diana of HomeMadeHappiness and Ozowiezo invited a couple of creative ladies to come to her studio to talk a long afternoon about having your own creative business and how to make it a big success. I don’t have enough exclamation points to say how nice it is to share stories about this subject!
It was just perfect: the weather, the food, the atmosphere, the subject, the people… My energylevel went straight up :-)

Luckily, I brought my camera to capture some nice moments of our meeting:
On top: Caroline and Diana, the ladies behind HomeMadeHappiness, preparing Strawberry Prosecco.
On the right: spectacular view into the studio (I love that bright yellow color, remind me to ask Diana which color number that is :-))
Left: girl power: these ladies all run a full-time creative business. Got curious? Check out their websites: She likes cute, SecondHandy, Hip en Hot, Djello, ApplePiePussy, Zomaar&Daarom.
Bottom: some whimsical studio details.

Thanks ladies, it was great meeting you all! Special thanks for Diana for inviting us! (And no thanks to Blogger, who makes it impossible to give this post a decent lay-out…grrrr.)

No? Yes!

These two beauties are a match made in heaven.

I found them in these wonderful Etsy shops:
Littlewhitedog – 3D letter N made from a vintage map
Intimespast – Vintage counted cross stitch wall hanging

The weather in The Netherlands is hot hot hot, so I’m preparing for a lazy weekend without much physical effort. Have a lovely weekend too!
