Anyone for more snow cones?

I was already quite obsessed with this giant ice cream cone lamp (because of this cool Melbourne home) and it became worse when I travelled to the U.S. last April. The ice cream vans in New York all carry these big ice cream cones on the front. I was ice cream cone tantalized: they were everywhere, but I couldn’t get my hands on ‘em. For a moment I considered stealing one from a van, but quickly reconsidered that plan since the U.S. have access to a place where you can be emprisoned without any trial whatsoever. (I would be the first prisoner with an ice cream cone lamp in her cell…that would not overweigh the disadvantages though.) I had to find another way to get my hands on a huge plastic ice cream shaped lamp. Lucky for me, there’s Pinterest (but use it wisely people, link with love!). One happy day in May I bumped onto this website. O wow.

Ik werd aangestoken door het softijsjeslampvirus door dit coole huis in Melbourne en het werd nog erger door mijn reis naar Amerika afgelopen april. In New York bleken alle ijscokarren rond te rijden met een enorme plastic ijsco boven de voorruit. Het was een softijs tantaluskwelling: ze waren overal, maar ik kon het niet bezitten. Even overwoog ik om zo’n ijsje van zo’n kar af te schroeven…maar in een land waar ze een gevangenis hebben waar je zonder rechtzaak in gesmeten kan worden…liet ik ook dat idee varen. (Wel zou ik dan de eerste gevangene zijn met een hele coole lamp in haar cel, maar dat woog toch niet op tegen de nadelen.) Ik was nog steeds ijslamploos, toen ik op een blijde dag in mei via Pinterest (Link with Love, mensen) op deze website stuitte. O wauw.
